The venue and atmosphere were excellent, and I can't fault the waiter. This feedback is in no way a reflection of the waiter's efforts, as they did everything possible to assist us.
We ordered a fish dish with mussel sauce. We specifically requested the
sauce without mussels and confirmed with the waiter multiple times that this was possible. The dish arrived with mussels. Upon pointing this out, the waiter immediately returned it to the kitchen. I observed the open kitchen area and saw the chef visibly angry, frustrated, and overreacting to the dish being sent back.
Unfortunately, instead of preparing a fresh dish without the mussel sauce, they simply removed the visible mussels and returned the same plate, which still contained mussels. This was absolutely appalling.
As compensation, we received a complimentary glass of wine, the fish dish was removed from our bill, and a brownie cake was provided for the birthday girl. Whether this adequately compensated for the distress is debatable, but we still paid our £450 bill.
The food was average; some of the desserts were excessively sweet, and I've seen better food presentation elsewhere.

There was a mouse running around the restaurant!!!
If the mice is up front, can you imagine how the kitchen must be!!
We let the waiter know, she called the manager and he didn’t seem bothered at all when we told him we saw a mouse! The table next to us saw it as well and we were all shocked. We asked to cancel our order and left! Not worth the risk!!

I had a fantastic experience at Drake & Morgan! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality from Eva, who went above and beyond to make my visit enjoyable. Geatana was also very helpful and added to the great service. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. A perfect spot for a great dining experience—I’ll definitely be coming back!

I really enjoyed the service and the atmosphere they provided. Eva was very accommodating and good at recommending the foods and drinks I was looking for. Definitely enjoyed my time there.

What a lovely oasis of calm hidden above the chaos of people rushing to board trains at Kings Cross. Ambiance is so classy, almost of another time. Food was excellent, and the service was so friendly. Even stowed luggage for us while we ate. Fantastic experience!

Beautiful restaurant that seated us quickly on a busy Friday night with reservation. Was attended on patiently and with a friendly smile by Eva/Ava who was attentive as well as offering suggestions. Lovely food and delicious cocktails. Next time I'm in the city will definitely visit again.
